Saxon ist eine 1976 in Barnsley (Yorkshire, England) gegründete Metal-Band. Als Vorreiter der New Wave of British Heavy Metal hatten sie Anfang der 1980er Jahre eine kurze Phase mit Top-40-Platzierungen in den Charts in Großbritannien und auch Erfolg im restlichen Europa und Japan.
